Are first aid courses needed during Covid-19 ? YES!!!!!!!!!!! Because......

30 October 2020

Obviously at the moment people are reluctant to leave their normal working environment to attend a First Aid course. We understand that, the safety and wellbeing of our candidates has always been our main concern. We have received great feedback on our social media and Trustpilot site regarding the additional safety measures we have implemented.

The need to attend a course is still essential. Why?

One of our candidates attended a QA level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) course on the Monday.
This was her first every First Aid course.
On the Friday she and another colleague who we trained previously performed CPR and used the Defibrillator that we had provided. Air ambulance and BASICS Doctors attended. The First Aiders were complimented on their actions by the professionals. This is the second time CPR has been performed at this setting in the last 2 years!!!

Another of our candidates attended to a member of the public just outside of their venue and again performed CPR. They had attended a training course 3 months earlier.
Both casualties at both incidents survived and are making a good recovery.

Safeaid Services thoughts are with all involved and proves that First Aid is essential no mater what else is going on.

Over 100000 people will Die from a sudden cardiac arrest annually in the UK. The 2020 figure would have been at least 2 more without a fast confident response from our First Aiders.
