The QA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) has been specifically designed to meet the criteria set by the Department for Education’s Successful candidates will learn the roles and responsibilities of the paediatric first aider, and will be equipped with the necessary skills to administer safe and effective treatment when dealing with a range of paediatric first aid situations. Blended Learning combines traditional face-to-face training/assessment with remote training or e-Learning. With part of the course delivered online and practical elements of the qualifications then being covered in the classroom. First Aid at Work course is split into two sections, with 1/3 delivered online: • Day one: covering theory outside of the classroom– via e-Learning • Day two & three: classroom-based delivery focussing on practical skills.This qualification is valid for a period of 3 years. Training is for group bookings needing additional training on severe bleeding. Course will cover the use of all contents of Bleed control kit and its practical application for severe bleeding incidents. This will give confidence to use safely and effectively should the need arise.
